I was called by a colleague, asking if I wanted to do Sherri Shepherds hair. Yes of course, was my response. Taylor being my assistant accompanied me to the St. Gregory Hotel in DC. We met Sherri and her, what I believed to be her publicist, but later found out that it was her very good friend, Earlene Gray. Sherri was admiring Taylors’ hair, commenting on how healthy it looked. I told Sherri, Taylor had just come from her prom, the night before, but that her hair was a weave. She was surprised and shocked, which lead us further into a conversation of proms. Sherri mentioned her upcoming event where she was going to finally get to go to her HS Prom and it would a taping on The View.  As I proceeded to curl Sherri’s Hair, I told her if ever she needed my services, I was willing to travel. So both Ms. Earlene and Sherri told me to make sure that I leave my business card. So I did. Although the event was short lived, I enjoyed every moment.  I told Sherri, thank you and I was very appreciative of the opportunity and to please call me if she needed me again. Taylor said to me, as we got in the elevator, “WOW Mom, I’m so glad, that I was here to share this day with you!” Wow, me too!
